Embracing the Future of Work: Higher Education’s Role as an Employer and an Educator

This on-demand webinar, brought to you in partnership between Times Higher Education and EAB, contains the findings of the EAB Remote Work Survey and discusses the role of universities in both creating and supporting the jobs of the future.

Against a backdrop of a fast-changing employment market, today’s students anticipate having working lives that require them to be more agile and ready to undertake upskilling and reskilling. In addition to this, as employers themselves, higher education institutions must also be prepared to fully support their staff as part of this modernisation process. This webinar discusses these dual challenges, focusing on questions such as:

  • What will a “hybrid campus” look like, and how can universities grow and sustain vibrant communities while offering flexibility to staff and srudents?
  • How might institutions share assets such as their knowledge and their people across institutional and international boundaries?
  • How can course curricula be further adapted to meet the needs of modern workforces, to ensure that graduates thrive in their careers?
  • What scope is there now for universities to scale their alumni engagement and other links with industry to create innovative student journeys?
This webinar will last for one hour and will be recorded in front of a live audience, who will be able to ask questions throughout. An on-demand recording and an article summarising its key takeaways will be made available on the Times Higher Education website post-event.
