Faculty engagement is critical to ensuring that student success efforts have staying power on campus. In this session, we focus on best practices for creating stronger relationships between faculty and student affairs practitioners, and how academic leaders can arm faculty with tools to better support students and eliminate unnecessary barriers to student persistence. By creating “one house” as opposed to “sides of the house” community colleges are better positioned to holistically serve students.
This session also highlights Pueblo Community College’s faculty and student affairs collaboration efforts, including how strengthening these relationships helped grow their enrollment by 18%. Participants will learn actionable strategies to grow trust, communication, and buy-in, which are the foundations of a unified student success approach.
