Virtual Professional Development Series

Professional Development Series for Principals, School and District Leaders

Elevate your school leadership with EAB’s virtual professional development series, crafted to empower principals and aspiring leaders with cutting edge strategic thinking and change leadership skills to tackle today’s most urgent challenges.

About the Series

Strategic thinking and change leadership skills are the difference-makers for effective school leadership today. However, most principals are not properly trained to craft effective strategies and lead change. EAB’s 4-part professional development series is designed to equip principals and aspiring leaders with essential skills they need to succeed.

To ensure principals and school leaders can attend the series, we have provided two cohorts to choose from. One is offered on Fridays at 1:00 pm EST while the other is on Mondays at 2:00 pm EST. The 60-minute sessions kick off in September and take place every other month.

Cohort 1 (meets 1:00 pm EST on Fridays):
  • Introduction to Root Cause Analysis: Sept 6, 2024
  • Hidden Enemies to Strategy: Nov 1, 2024
  • Leading Campus Change Initiatives: Jan 3, 2025
  • Cultivating Compassionate Leadership: Mar 7, 2025
Cohort 2 (meets 2:00 pm EST on Mondays):
  • Introduction to Root Cause Analysis: Sept 16, 2024
  • Hidden Enemies to Strategy: Nov 18, 2024
  • Leading Campus Change Initiatives: Jan 13, 2025
  • Cultivating Compassionate Leadership: Mar 17, 2025

More About the Series Sessions

We are offering principals four different sessions in this series:

Introduction to Root Cause Analysis (September): Your principals will dive deep into identifying the underlying causes of issues in their schools. This session will equip them with the tools to solve problems at their core.

Hidden Enemies to Strategy (November): This is a great level-setting presentation where participants learn how inherent cognitive biases inhibit strategic thinking. The session introduces five evidence-based techniques to mitigate the impact of cognitive biases and craft bold strategies that can succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Leading Campus Change Initiatives (January): Change is inevitable, but managing it effectively is a skill. This session will guide your principals in crafting and executing robust change management plans that ensure smooth transitions and lasting improvements.

Cultivating Compassionate Leadership (March): Research shows that compassionate leadership is vital for effective leadership. Yet, it’s a skill often left out in traditional training programs for school and district leaders. EAB has designed an expert-led session to learn concrete strategies to forge deeper connections and transform conflict into growth.
Up to 5 principals and school leaders per district can be nominated to join this professional development series.
