Since then, attitudes to digitalisation have shifted. While the global pandemic presents massive opportunities for the sector to better integrate digital tools across academic and operational terrains, institutions risk falling prey to the trap of digital delusion, adopting technology merely for the sake of technology. Veterans of this work know that the widespread use of Zoom or Teams alone do not lead to the systemic change at the heart of digital transformation.
