Report

To help university leaders get a better sense of the complex graduate enrollment landscape, EAB is releasing three reports based on a series of surveys of graduate enrollment leaders.

Meeting Your Graduate Enrollment and Revenue Goals

Declining undergraduate enrollment, combined with changing demographics and perceptions of the value of higher education, has put increasing pressure on graduate programs to offset undergraduate enrollment and revenue shortfalls.

However, growing enrollment in the graduate market will not be easy. According to National Student Clearinghouse, the projected average annual growth from 2021 to 2031 is only 1.1%, compared to the 3.2% average annual growth rate from 1990 to 2021.

This report explores the relationship between enrollment goals and outcomes for graduate programs, and shares three key insights to help enrollment leaders better understand, set, and meet enrollment goals for their graduate programs.
